Boston Private Bank & Trust Spotlights Dialogues
|
On May 23, 2007, Boston Private Bank & Trust Company hosted a Social Investing Series Breakfast Seminar to spotlight the work of the City-Wide Dialogues on Boston’s Ethnic & Racial Diversity. Renowned Professor Charles Ogletree of Harvard Law School and the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race and Justice was the keynote speaker. The audience of about 60 people included clients and friends of Boston Private Bank & Trust Company as well as friends and collaborators of the City-Wide Dialogues. Presentations covered the history, accomplishments and goals of the City-Wide Dialogues and testimonials from several participants about the continuing need for honest, productive dialogue on issues of our racial and ethnic diversity. City-Wide Dialogues is also conducting Youth-Police Dialogues in neighborhoods affected by violence and several staff of the Boston Police Department were present at the Breakfast Seminar. Audience members engaged in a spirited Question & Answer discussion after the presentations. We are especially grateful to CEO Mark Thompson, Senior Vice President Esther Schlorholtz and CRA Assistant Shirley Young of Boston Private Bank & Trust Company for their kindness in helping to draw attention to the work of the City-Wide Dialogues on Boston’s Ethnic & Racial Diversity.
